Looking for a flexible, early childhood job supported by an experienced team of childcare professionals? We help our Nannies find fantastic positions with families all over New Zealand and offer ongoing support and assistance throughout your experience.
We’re looking for warm, caring people who have a passion for working with young children and feel comfortable fitting into an established family home and routine. All our Nannies must pass a police vetting process prior to starting.
If you’re at least 18 years old, have experience working with young children, a clean (preferably full) drivers licence and two or more referees (family and friends not accepted), we’d love to hear from you. Contact us now.
We care about your personal career goals and aspirations. Our Nanny Coordinator will spend time getting to know you, your background and what you hope to achieve. They’ll pass on interview tips, negotiate the rate on your behalf and help to set up a payment system that works for both parents and you.
If the family you care for is enrolled in the home based childcare programme we’ll provide you with the support of a Visiting Teacher, who is qualified in Early Childhood education. They’ll visit you in the family’s home at least once a month and provide ongoing training and help with programme planning for the children in your care. They’re also an essential, supportive voice on the phone offering strategies and advice whenever you need it.
You’ll be looking after preschool children under the age of six (not enrolled at school). As part of being enrolled in our education programme, you can join in with our regular playgroups and community outings, offering the children in your care extra opportunities for social fun and experiences.
When you join Home Grown Kids as a Nanny, you’ll be given a Support Manual that includes a folder full of information (policies, procedures, documents and forms) to support and guide you. A personal visit from your Visiting Teacher will help you understand all the materials.
We provide you and your families an e-portfolio through Storypark. An amazing, easy to use digital tool, Storypark enables us to deepen the level of communication we have with the immediate family and the child’s wider community.
We are dedicated to ensuring you are supported in your journey as a child care worker and Educator. Our team have a wealth of knowledge and resources for you to access should you need ideas for activities and play.
