We’d love to welcome your family to ours. Trusting a person to care for your children is a big decision. That’s why our Educators and Nannies are the focus of our business.
All our Educators and Nannies are carefully selected based on experience, qualifications, prior learning, proven skills and personal attributes. We’re looking for passionate people who love working with children and their families.
Our home-based childcare groups are capped at a maximum of four children under the age of six, including Educators’ own children. This means we can offer each child the individual attention they need to flourish.
Our Educators offer a range of different programmes based around their beliefs, values, culture, background and philosophies. Many hold Early Childhood Education qualifications. Some of our Educators are mothers and grandmothers with fantastic life skills, experience and knowledge. We’ll listen to your needs and we help you to find an educator that you and your family connect with and trust.
Our aim is to become an education programme that reflects New Zealand ECE curriculum - Te Whāriki. We are a Ministry of Education approved and licensed Early Childhood Education provider. Regularly reviewed by the Education Review Office to ensure all our home childcare environments not only meet, but exceed the Ministry of Education’s Licensing Criteria for Home-based Services (2008).
We’re an approved Work and Income provider and can support you to access a childcare subsidy if you are eligible. Find out more about WINZ subsidies.
The government subsidises all children who attend early childhood education. This means that if your child is 3, 4 or 5 the cost may be fully subsidised for up to 6 hours a day and up to 20 hours a week. Find out more about 20 ECE hours. 30hrs ECE are also available*
All our Educators are supported and guided by our Coordinators who are Qualified certificated ECE teachers with many years’ experience and expertise in early childhood education. Our Coordinators regularly attend professional development to keep up-to-date with current research and theory for best practice for education and care of young children.
When you enrol your child with us, they become part of our Home Grown family. That’s just another way of saying we all (Educator, Nanny and Coordinator) work together to support your child’s learning journey.
We support our educators with educational, fun and age appropriate resources like puzzles, books, art supplies, blocks, role play equipment, playdough and more. We also offer Educators the opportunity to further their professional development and education.
